I started doing research at LASIGE during my master's thesis and I am now a PhD researcher at both LASIGE (University of Lisbon) and the Software and Societal Systems Department (S3D) at Carnegie Mellon University. My research focuses on improving the usability of liquid types for reliable software.
Designed and implemented agentic workflows using LLMs and custom MCP tools to automate Python library migrations for enterprise development teams.
During this summer internship, I helped improve the static analysis tools across different programming languages, especially in the creation of def-use chains, and contributed to the testing framework using fuzzing and applying the tool to open-source projects. I had the pleasure to work in the PL team with Raj Barik, Ameya Ketkar, Lazaro Clapp, and Ali-Reza Adl-Tabatabai.
At CMU, I was a TA for the course 17-480/17-780 API Design, working with Joshua Bloch on the major steps of API design, such as gathering requirements, documenting, testing, implementing, refining, and evolving APIs. At the University of Lisbon, I taught introductory Programming courses (theoretical-practical and laboratory classes) to more than 100 undergraduate students of Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, and other programs.
